Beautiful Jane was one of the first women artists from KC to be taken seriously on the national scene, fought gender discrimination, and blazed a trail for younger women. I’ve often gotten her commissions, as I recently did for a new office. The client wants urban scenes, so Moses and I took Jane around the city finding great locations.

With Moses the Gallery Dog accompanying us we took about 60 shots. We’ll select the best ones to base the commission on, which will be two 36 x 48 oils for the lobby of a new office on the Plaza. I already know these will be great pieces. Jane is nearly 80 now and still painting up a storm. You go girl!
