Began hanging a huge blown-glass sculpture Monday, by Vernon Brejcha.  As you can see, the lobby it’s going in is fairly substantial.  The work will involve 350 pieces of glass, and will weigh about 1500 lbs.  Whole thing’s been in process for about 6 months.  Vernon did the glass, Erik Beier and I designed the armature and hanging method.  Do I work on the installation personally?  Sure, on some days.  I love driving those lifts around and cussing like a redneck.  Of course I realize these photos don’t tell you much, but the later ones will.
